To Find Your Way To The Wax Works (The Mold) You Must Travel To London. The Mold Can Be Accessed From The Travel Bar Or By Going To The Jobs Tab In London And Clicking On The Additional District Button.

Once You’ve Made Your Way Into ‘The Mold’ Secret District You Will See These Images (Which Will Change As You Progress Through The Levels Of The District)

You May Notice The Image Of The Wax Next To Certain Jobs. These Will Be Consumed In 2 Jobs And You Can Collect These From The ‘Arrange To Make A Wax Dummy Of Him’ Job. These Will Also Be Needed To Fight The Boss Named Detective Dean.

Wax Drops In The Second Job On The Jobs List;

You Can Also Acquire These ‘Guitar Strings’ From The Free Gifts Page By Sending Them To Your Friends Or Them Sending Them To You.

When Your Friends Accept The ‘Wax’ Gifts You Sent Them You Will Have Some Returned To You That You Can Now Collect From Your ZMC (Zynga Message Center). Or You Will, Adversely, Send Some To Your Friends And When They Accept Them You Will Have one Returned To You.

The Wax Will Be Consumed In The 3rd And 7th Jobs On The Jobs List;

You Will Also Want To Acquire As Many ‘Double Loot’ Boosts As You Can In Order To Make The Above Items Accrue Faster. To Acquire These ‘Double Loot’ Boosts You Simply Click The Ask Button Located On The Available Loot Drop Down Box And Share A Request To Your Wall.

You Also Acquire Them By Clicking On Your Friends Posts On Your Wall. Just Look For The 2X Loot Image;

Now, Let’s Review The Bandits.

If You Read The Description Above It Pretty Much Says It All. These Bandits Appear Randomly While Doing Jobs In ‘By The Bookie’ Secret District.

When The Bandits Appear You Have A Time Limit To Eliminate Them Within.

To Eliminate These Bandits You Simply Click The Red Eliminate Button And You Can Move On.

However, You Do Need Crew Members In Your Queue In Order To Eliminate The Bandits. These Crew Members Are Called Snipers, When Used.

Once You Click The Eliminate Button One Crew Member (If Available) Is Automatically Used And Deducted From You Crew Queue.

DEFEAT BOSS DETECTIVE DEAN

I Need To Fight And Defeat Detective Dean First. Detective Dean Is Waiting For You At The Bottom Of The Jobs List.

In Older Boss Fashion You Need To Collect Several Items That Will Be Used In Combos To Beat Carlo. These Items Are;

Knife Slash	Crack Of The Bat	Knuckle Punch	Wax

As You Can See We Need The ‘Wax’ For The Boss Fight Combos In Addition To Doing Jobs Within The Secret District.

The Chart Below Shows The Order In Which To Use The Items To Activate The Combos;

As You Use The Combos You Do More Damage To The Boss Detective Dean.

If You Find It Difficult To Acquire Enough Of The Crack Of The Bats From Robbing There Is Still A Way To Easily (Relatively) Beat The Boss. All You Need To Do Is Acquire Enough Of The Consumable (Wax) Item To Attack The Boss With. To Calculate A Rough Estimate As To How Many You Will Need To Accrue Just Take The Amount Of The Bosses Health And Divide By 100 And Be Sure To Add Some For Those Times When The Boss Blocks Your Hit Or Your Attack Score Is Low. Do This For Each Level.

The Chart Below Is A Rough Idea As To How Many Consumable Items It Will Take To Beat The Boss. Remember To Add Some Extras.

Another Option Is To Just Use Your Stamina To Beat The Boss. Just Note That The Amount Of Stamina Needed Increases If You Use This Method. It Should Reset To 5 Stamina After 8 Hours The Ratio Of XP Gain Per Stamina Is Approximately 2.2. But, I Don’t Trust Zynga So I Don’t Use This Method. I Use The Consumables Method Because They Are Easy To Acquire (Except The Bats) And Why Let Them Take Up Space.

Once You Defeat Detective Dean And Have Completed All The Jobs You Will Be Rewarded With 2 Rewards.

For Beating Detective Dean You Will Be Rewarded With A Data Lab.

Free Loot From Mafia Wars - Sixer

Zynga is once again giving away free loot. This time it is a Sixer.

Like all the other free loot that Zynga gives away you need to locate your ‘Apps and Games’ on facebook.

Then locate your Mafia Wars requests and the request from Mafia Wars.

 

You should then be taken into Mafia Wars and see the pop-up where you can claim the loot (Sixer).

VIP Membership Plan Updated And Changed

For those of you who Zynga deemed worthy enough to participate in the VIP Membership Plan (Many Still Do Not Have The Option) It has been updated. There are many changes to the VIP program as well. Oh Joys.

The banner below has not changed so if you looked just at it you would not notice anything unusual.

You need to click on the ‘View Benefits’ button to see what has changed with the VIP Membership Plan.

I am not going to analyze each piece of information in the above image. I will ask this, though, who will be left playing this game in 19 months when those few players reach the ‘Titanium Benefits’ level? With less than 400,000 Daily Active Users (shown below) now and the continually declining player base coupled with this kind of a change/modification I, personally, do not see a true benefit in wasting one’s money on this at all.

Zynga needs to figure out ways to draw players back into the game before they institute such garbage because all this will likely succeed at is drive even more players away from the game.

I can only guess that the VIP Membership plan is Zynga’s attempt to do just that. Here is their description of the VIP Membership plan. Let’s See what you think;

Here is what I took from it when I read it; 

Fight List

These days, with so many quitting Mafia Wars, sometimes it appears that someone is attacking you for no reason, or that they are hitting you too often. Usually the person is playing the game just as you are, clicking on names on the fight list. They do not have anything against the player they are attacking, you’re just a target on the list and nothing more. They keep hitting because, like you, they need their daily ices. This can often take over 100 attacks to get the ice.

Due to the dwindling numbers of players, fight lists are more likely to have the same names on them more often. It’s easy logic when one thinks about it. If there’s only 1,000 playing in a city at a time, then the odds of a player being in the 20 on the fight list are greater than if 5,000 players are playing at that moment. This will not get better with the current rate that players are quitting the game.

Players attacking and being attacked by the same player can lead to conflict. “Why are you attacking me???” Sometimes, there might be a reason you are being attacked. Maybe you have been lucky enough to land on their Rivals list, or they saw that you had attacked or iced them. Perhaps your family is at war with their family. What do you do? Sometimes a friendly message to the attacker will stop the attacks, other times, it might take diplomatic help from your family. If you’re just a name on the fight list, send them a friend request, and get them into your mafia. This will keep you from appearing on their fight list.

If you have been placed on their Rivals list, and they are intent on attacking you, perhaps a common friend might ask them why, and act on your behalf. A lot of times the grudge that keeps you on the Rivals list is not worth a conflict with the common friend to the attacker, and will result in the attacker moving on.

If the attacks are due to your family being in a war with the attacker’s family, then there are 2 things to do… fight hard in the game, and look to your family’s admins to work it out with the other family. Let them know you are taking a beating, as your family members might be able to divert the attacker’s attention by attacking them. Wars can last a couple hours or go a few months. They are also the most exciting parts of the game.

As players have left Mafia Wars, it has become more a game about fighting than completing missions and projects. Names will show up more often on your “Fighters” list, as well as on the “Your Attackers” list. While getting attacked and iced is part of the game, one does want to minimize the attacks that are at them specifically, as opposed to being incidental from showing up on the random fight list.
