Chicago 2X Mastery – Wine Taster

“Quickly, bring me a beaker of wine, so that I may wet my mind and say something clever.” - Aristophanes, 424B.C.

Get Chicago completed faster with a 2X Mastery. In addition, a Wine Taster is also dropping while you do jobs in Chicago.

“Wine improves with age. The older I get, the better I like it.”   - Anomynous

The best job in Chicago to do is the ‘Secure Hooch To Sell In Your Joint’ job.

This job is the second job in the Main Street Speakeasy district in Chicago. That is it is in the 2nd Chicago district.

“Wine makes daily living easier, less hurried, with fewer tensions and more tolerance.” - BenjaminFranklin

Those of us who have not completed the Extreme Missions may want to take advantage of this loot dropping. At least those who are still on the Fresh Bodies part of the Extreme Missions.

How To Fix The Half Screen Loading Issue Using Google Chrome

Many players (including myself) have recently been experiencing half page loads in Mafia Wars. This issue appears to be isolated to players who use the Google Chrome browser.

You will not find any help regarding this issue on the Zynga's Mafia Wars Support Page since this issue is (technically) not Zynga’s problem. It is an issue with Google Chrome and Cookies that are in your history. The solution is to clear your Google Chrome history, cache, Cookies and Plug-in data.

If you are experiencing this loading issue with Google Chrome preventing Mafia Wars from fully loading then follow these instructions;

Locate the wrench that is located in the top-right corner of the Google Chrome browser and click on it.

Scroll down to where the word ‘History’ and click.

You should now see a list of your browsing history. Locate the button that says ‘Clear all browsing data…’ and click it.

A pop-up should appear that has about 6 checkboxes for you to choose from.

Make sure you have checked the 4 boxes as in the image above. Especially be sure to checkmark the ‘Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data’ option. Then click the ‘Clear Browser Data’ button to start clearing your history, cache, Cookies and Plug-in data.

Depending on how often you clear your cache and history this could take anywhere from a few moments to several minutes. The end result is that you should be able to fully load Mafia Wars again.

Robbing Spree Experience Ratio

I have been asked ‘How much experience and what is the ratio when robbing the houses in the Robbing Spree event?’

The answer is (at least for me) 89 experience which equates to a ratio 3.56 experience per stamina. Now that’s not a bad little haul to grab while this event lasts.

Update – Loading Issues Fix … NOT!!

Zynga has made an announcement on the Zynga Support page about fixing issues while the game was loading. Here is a reprint;

Update - Loading issues (July 19th)

Updated 07/20/2012 at 10:53

Dear Players,
Yesterday (July 19, 2012), we experienced technical issues in Mafia Wars which resulted in slow loading of the game for a couple of hours.
This issue was immediately investigated and resolved by our teams.
We heard the feedback from our players and have decided to extend the time for the current Limited Time Property - Wine Cellar by 1 day.
Wine Cellar will now end on July 23rd 2012 (23:59 Pacific Time).
We thank you for your patience while the issue was being resolved.
-Mafia Wars Team

That’s great! That’s wonderful! Now can you FIX THE HALF SCREEN LOADING?
