Collectable Stat Cards Set 14 Coming Soon

Collectable Stat Cards Set 13 is drawing near to it's retirement and will soon make way for Collectable Stat Card Set 14.

The Loots for set 14 will include a Bow, Hide And Seek, Sock It, Abert's Squirrel, Dusk Owl, and a Shoe Maker.

The Images for the individual cards appear to have a feminine theme. We are uncertain of the exact name of the next set but we are guessing it might be called Femine Frenzy or something to do with feminism or fighting or both. We'll know for certain soon enough.

Check back often with Mafia Spirit for more updates.

Sim City Closed Beta 2 – Today ONLY

Sim City Beta Faq’s

The Closed Beta is open from Saturday February 16 6AM PST (1300GMT / 1400CET / 2200EAT) to Sunday February 17 6AM PST (1300GMT / 1400CET / 2200EAT).

If you have been selected, you will receive an email during Saturday February 16 with your unique redemption code and instructions how to join the beta. We want to get as many fans into the beta as possible, but we can only invite a small group of fans to participate.

This Closed Beta was created specifically to test the server. We will only need a 24 hour period in order to do it and we chose a day that will allow for a largest number of players.

All I can say is WOW!

From my Beta experience this game IS the REAL DEAL!

The graphics are phenomanal and the 1 hour Beta test today left me craving more. I don’t know if I can wait until March 5th for the full version to be released. After just an hour after the Beta closed for me I am already having Sim City withdrawal.

If you haven’t done so already, I highly recommend pre-ordering Sim City ( pre-order here).

If you need to see more you can watch several videos at Sim City Game Trailers

Job Board Results

Th Job Board Results are finalized and were announced on the Official Mafia Wars Blog. We provided you a copy of the post below for your quick reference.

Mobsters,

Our players requested us to put up the Job Board results for at least a day in the game. We'll try to implement this change from the future seasons of Job Boards.

The winners for this season will receive their rewards by the end of Feb 13th PST.

Top 1000 winners for this season are mentioned in the list below:

With the DAU dropping off I find it interesting that there are 1000 families to list.

This list does provide an interesting look at the participation of this event. The disparity between the winning families results (score15943) and the 10th place family (score 7643) and the 1000th place family (score 1158) is quite telling as to how much participation there is among the players in these events. Other than what we like to call the 'elite' players there truly isn't much active participation. It's not what I would call competitive. Most players just play their game without credence nor interest in these events because we know we don't have a chance in hell of ever winning anything in them. Yet we still play the game.

Tainted Love – A Crafters Choice Event

Sometimes I feel I've got to Run away I've got to Get away From the pain that you drive into the heart of me The love we share Seems to go nowhere And I've lost my light For I toss and turn I can't sleep at night (chorus) Once I ran to you (I ran) Now I'll run from you This tainted love you've given I give you all a boy could give you Take my tears and that's not nearly all Oh...

Tainted Love is the latest in the series of Crafter’s Choice events.

With Valentine’s Day (U.S.) approaching (Feb 14th) many people are getting the Love Bug. In Mafia Wars the Love Bug is not exactly romantic. Unless your Love is of handguns (pistols). It could be your Love is collecting loots. Either way this Love Shack is Tainted and it just may scatter some hearts.

By now, most players should be familiar with how these events work. You ask for parts (Scatterheart) and collect enough of them to allow you to choose to build (craft) one of 2 loots. In this event you can choose to craft a Loveshack or a Lovebug. If you collect enough Scatterheart’s you can upgrade your loot of choice or craft multiples of your chosen loot or even craft both. All the begging for parts sounds fun, doesn’t it?

To help you get through this event we found some appropriate YouTube videos. Below are 3 versions of the song ‘Tainted Love’;

Now that you’re ready for Valentine’s Day you could share this post and these videos with your special someone. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY.
