For a brief time earlier this evening we released the next Secret District, but due to player feedback regarding our recent event schedule, this district will not be made active until Monday, January 23rd, 2012.
We apologize for any confusion that this may have caused, but we felt the timing of the event would be better suited for our players at a later date.
Many players have expressed concern over the progress that they have already made on this Secret District, but don't worry all progress made by players has been saved and will be there when it releases again on Monday.
Because this was an intentional removal of the feature and all progress will be saved and restored at the next release there is not a reason to submit an incident or contact Customer Support as they will not be able to make any changes or credits to your account.

A Sea Of Red Sale Banner Is Appearing On Our In-Game News Feeds.

There Is Also A Chinese Dragon In Our Inventories Listed As A Gifting Item.

These Chinese Dragons Are Presumed To Drop From What May Be Called ‘Dragon Mystery Bags’.

Both Of These Are Expected To Be Released Soon.

The Problem I Have Is That Some Players Already Have The Chinese Dragons Showing On Their Profile Inventory.

These Players Took Advantage Of A Zynga Nerf Where Harvest Mystery Bags Briefly Appeared In Their ZMC’s As The Dragon Mystery Bags.

In Essence, They Wrongfully Received Items They Should Not Have.

Of Course, These Kinds Of Things Happen All The Time In Mafia Wars And If Any Kind Of Roll-Back Or Swap-Out Were To Take Place It Would Certainly Piss A Lot Of Players Off.

The Problem Is That It Is Not Fair To Those Of Us Who Never Get To Take Advantage Of These Glitches And Errors Because They Just Do Not Happen To Everyone. We Are, Therefore, Left With Two Choices. One, We Live With The Fact That We Aren’t Privileged Nor Lucky Enough To Have These Kinds Of Things Happen For Us. Two, Quit Playing The Game Due To These Unfair Circumstances.

The Slammer Is, Finally, A District That Is Truly Indicative Of A Mafia Game. The Only Sad Part, At First Glance, Is It Will Only Be Available For 12 Days.

Give A Guy His Freedom He Will Turn On You Like A Rabid Dog. You Can’t Trust Anyone. Even A Policeman Can Be Bribed. So, The Description Would Be More Appropriate If It Said “Pay A Man The Right Amount Of Cash And He Will Be Yours For Life! Or For As Long As The Cash Keeps Flowin”.

The Pictures Above Are What Will Catch Your Eye Upon Entering The Slammer For the First Time. These Will Change As You Progress Through The Levels Of The Slammer. We’ll Save the Fun Of Seeing The Changes For You To Discover As You Progress.

There Are New Loot Items For You To Collect To Earn 5 Attack, 5 Defense, And 5 Skill Points.

Jailer’s Pistol	60 101	Collect 10 Of Each To Acquire +10 Attack
Police Cap	10362	Collect 25 Of Each To Acquire +5 Defense
Night Owl	61 105	Collect 50 Of Each To Acquire +5 Skill Points

The Bronze Level Of Jobs Are Indicated Above. If You Look Closely You Will See That The Consumable That You Need To Collect And Will Be Used In Certain Jobs Is A Bunch Of Dynamite Attached To A Timer. Otherwise Known As A Time Bomb. For The Sake Of This District It Is Called A Jailbreaker. These Jailbreaker’s Will Drop From The Job ‘Arrange A Prison Bust’.
