Th Job Board Results are finalized and were announced on the Official Mafia Wars Blog. We provided you a copy of the post below for your quick reference.

Our players requested us to put up the Job Board results for at least a day in the game. We'll try to implement this change from the future seasons of Job Boards.

The winners for this season will receive their rewards by the end of Feb 13th PST.

With the DAU dropping off I find it interesting that there are 1000 families to list.

This list does provide an interesting look at the participation of this event. The disparity between the winning families results (score15943) and the 10th place family (score 7643) and the 1000th place family (score 1158) is quite telling as to how much participation there is among the players in these events. Other than what we like to call the 'elite' players there truly isn't much active participation. It's not what I would call competitive. Most players just play their game without credence nor interest in these events because we know we don't have a chance in hell of ever winning anything in them. Yet we still play the game.

Tainted Love is the latest in the series of Crafter’s Choice events.

With Valentine’s Day (U.S.) approaching (Feb 14th) many people are getting the Love Bug. In Mafia Wars the Love Bug is not exactly romantic. Unless your Love is of handguns (pistols). It could be your Love is collecting loots. Either way this Love Shack is Tainted and it just may scatter some hearts.

By now, most players should be familiar with how these events work. You ask for parts (Scatterheart) and collect enough of them to allow you to choose to build (craft) one of 2 loots. In this event you can choose to craft a Loveshack or a Lovebug. If you collect enough Scatterheart’s you can upgrade your loot of choice or craft multiples of your chosen loot or even craft both. All the begging for parts sounds fun, doesn’t it?

CityVille 2 has been scheduled for foreclosure on March 7th, 2013. If you haven’t been playing the game and try to access CityVille 2 you should get the following image to appear on your monitor;

FAQ: CityVille 2 Closure

When is CityVille 2 shutting down?
We’re sorry to announce that CityVille 2 will be closing on March 7, 2013.
After that time, the game will no longer be available. We also want to help you find new games to play and enjoy. We would like to offer you a one time, complimentary bonus package in either FarmVille 2, ChefVille or Bubble Safari. The option to migrate to one of these games will be active until March 7, 2013

How does the Bonus package work?
Choose the game in which you would like to receive the bonus package.  The games in which you can redeem this one-time bonus package are: 
FarmVille 2, ChefVille or Bubble Safari.
Enter the email address where you would like to receive the details from Zynga Customer Support.
Click on the ‘Accept Offer’ button.

What if I already have an account in the other game?
The bonus package will be added to the existing account.
Can I have the bonus package credited to a different account?
The package will be added to the same Facebook account only.

What if I don’t have an account in the other game?
Please ensure that you have created an account in the other game, before redeeming the bonus package. We will not be able to add the bonus package unless you have an account in the game you wish the package to be added to.

Can we purchase items in the game?
You will be able to buy items for Golden Keys until the game shuts down.  You will not be able to buy new keys. You will not be able to purchase items for cash from now (2/5/2013) onward.
Why can’t I invite friends to the game?
We have disabled the ‘Invite Friends’ feature as new users cannot play the game any longer. The content that we are releasing from now is exclusive to you…our loyal players.

The question as to ‘why CityVille 2 is closing’ has been answered with the explanation that it’s ‘to make way for future game offerings from Zynga’.

The true answer should be that the game isn’t generating enough revenue.

If you look at the DAU and MAU ranks of the game then you should notice that there are enough players to sustain the game.

Mafia Wars players should feel lucky because if the AppData.com stats were a factor then Mafia Wars escaped a bullet.

CityVille 2 appears to have been kicking Mafia Wars arse in the user stats, at least.

We do, however, know that there are some whales that still play Mafia Wars.

One does has to wonder how much life Mafia Wars has left in it before those whales turn to tuna and the game eventually finds it’s way of all the other game closings that have occurred recently. Ie Vampire Wars, etc….
