MW Caption Contest I, II & III Winners!

Zynga announced on July 22, 2013, the first of 3 MW Caption Contests and closed on July 24, 2013

The 2nd was announced on July 31, 2013, and closed on August 2, 2013.

The 3rd was announced on August 5, 2013, and closed on August 7, 2013

Each contest is supposed to reward 3 players with RP:

PRIZES:
- The first prize for each of the 3 Caption Contests will be 150RPs
- Second prize for each Caption Contest is 100 RPs
- Third prize is 50RPs for each Caption Contest

Within our post that we called The Road To South Africa we highlighted our top 5 favorites from each of the 3 MW Caption Contests (also shown below the Winners list for each Contest below). We must have jinxed the ones we liked because not a single one that we highlighted won. We apologize to you.

On August 15, 2013 we posted MW Caption Contest Winners Not Known. Within that post we stated the following;

By announcing the winners of all 3 prize tiers and for all 3 contests players could see if they, or someone they know, had won the contest. It could draw more participation in future contests if people could see who had won.

Our hope, with those words, was to see players who were/are in mid-tier families win these rewards. I am not convinced that happened.

Scroll the list of winners below and see if you know any of the winners. Does the list of winners inspire you to participate in future events such as this one? It doesn’t inspire me! I’ll leave it at that.

Dojo Mojo – Report Suspicious Players

Do You Have The Mojo To Report Suspicious Dojo?

What? Zynga has players in their games that act suspiciously? Some players may seem so diabolical that they resort to cheating? How can this be?

Dojo Mojo Logo

In the game Dojo Mojo Zynga is asking players to report suspicious players like you might see in the following video;

Dojo Mojo Character

We, Mafia Wars players (and players of all Zynga’s games), know how important it is for Zynga to create and maintain a fair and level playing field for all players because they tell us that’s what they want. Just like in the following post on the Dojo Mojo Support Page;

Report Suspicious Players

Now that Zynga has provided the players with a way to report the suspicious behavior of others we can all be Power Puff Girls and stop those cheaters from taking over the world of gaming.

Zynga Game Surveys – Hidden Shadows And MW Optician Awarded

Hidden Shadows Logo

It’s common knowledge that Zynga has been losing players across all their games. Zynga is in desperation mode trying to figure out why. One of the latest tactics is the use of surveys asking players why they quit a game or why they ended their VIP membership or what will it take to get them to return to a game.

On August 16, 2013 Zynga had a survey for Current And Former VIP Survey – FREE Optician Bribe Loot

VIP Survey Pop 1

That survey offered players an Optician just for taking the survey. Current and former VIP subscribers were awarded the Optician today.

Optician Awarded

I am uncertain if players who have never been a VIP player and took the survey had received an Optician. Check your inventories if you happen to be one of those players.

Today players, current and former, of other games of Zynga’s (at least Hidden Shadows) have the opportunity to take a survey. I received the following survey in an e-mail;

Hidden Shadows Survey 1Hidden Shadows Survey 2Hidden Shadows Support Logo

One of the biggest reasons players quit your games, Zynga, is the high demand on time requirements it takes to play your games. The second biggest reason, or another reason rather, is the high demand to make in-game purchases. And a third major reason that players quit playing your games is the absurd amount of begging for parts and creating spam on our Facebook walls, etc. Culminated together, these things lead to the inability of playing your games without the use of scripts, bots, or the use of cheats.

Players want to feel like they are special, and with the current status of your games and your VIP programs and your Leaderboards we don’t!

We understand that you need to make money to keep your games free to play and even available to play. We would contribute some funds here and there if we didn’t need to refinance our homes just to buy few energy refills. Maybe if our purchases gave us some kind of benefit within your games then we might buy something once in a while. The key is ‘once in a while’! We don’t want to feel like it’s a must in order for us to be competitive in your games.

As far as Hidden Shadows goes, I have an idea that would turn hidden object games upside down. I will not state my idea here nor anywhere for free (It’s that good). So, you will have to continue with you’re a-typical hidden object game the way it is now. If I get some free time I might spend a few minutes on it again. Or not.

Iceboard – Typhoon Rider And Metal Spine

Iceboard Banner

Because Zynga cares sooo much about its player base they continue to release these events that only a very few players have a chance to win. I guess I shouldn’t whine, gripe, or complain too much because those players do need reasons to continue to play this game too. We’ll let them have at it.

Iceboard Loots

The rewards that we’ll, or at least I’ll, be missing out on once again are a Typhoon Rider and the Metal Spine.

When the event ends the top Icer in each family will be rewarded with a Metal Spine. This hardly seems fair to players who may have thousands of ices yet finish 2nd or lower in their families while some players may not have as many ices yet finish first in their families Iceboard Leaderboard’s.

Buzzard 6

The Typhoon Rider will be rewarded to the top 3 leaders on the Global Leaderboard when the event ends.

If you are interested in watching the Global Leaderboard there really isn’t much to watch. Even if/when we see new leaders on the Global Leaderboards the players still usually are members of the same families that other/former leaders were members of. Not too exciting if you ask me.

Iceboard Leaders 4 hours In

ṠĄÐÎṠṪ ṀãƒĬã - Bloemfontein Chief "◆╣ֆ♍╠◆ Ned Kelly" level 55724 Fearless

ṠĄÐÎṠṪ ṀãƒĬã - Capo di Calabria "◆╣ֆ♍╠◆ scarface" level 54082 Fearless

Assassin-a-Nators - Bloemfontein Mogul "{ASS} DLC Junior" level 27755 Maniac

These events truly aren’t very competitive. They are usually more like blow-out’s. Many players haven’t even gotten out of bed yet and the leaders had already accrued 12,000 + ices in under 4 hours. That’s an average of 3,000 + ices an hour.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see what would happen if these events started at differing times once in a while? Would we see different players on top of the Leaderboards? Would more players try harder? We may never know the answers to these questions because Zynga seems to have it’s group of favorite players. The rest of us are just hear to be the whipping posts for the elite.

That leaves us with the option of seeing How Low Can We Go?
