With a day and about 8 hours left until the Lucky Stash Slots are shutdown one has to wonder what is going to happen to the Jackpot when we are locked out of the Lucky Stash Slots?
Will there be a mad dash of players playing the 3 RP spins in the waning minutes, just before it is locked down, hoping that there will be a payout before the lockdown?
There may not be a need for that since Zynga did say that the Lucky Stash Slots will only be shutdown temporarily. The following quote is from the Lucky Stash (Slot Machine) Shutdown Event – FAQ that Zynga provided the players.
Q: Why is the Slot Machine feature being shut down?
A: We are working on bringing in more exciting and rewarding features in the game. The Slot Machine feature is being taken down temporarily as we continuously improve the game and make way for new and exciting features.
That means that we should either see a winner before the Lucky Stash Slots are shutdown or that the Jackpot should be held in limbo until Zynga decides to rerelease the Lucky Stash Slots. I wouldn’t hold my breath on either scenario because this IS Zynga we are talking about.
Keep in mind that the word temporary is a loose term. Temporary could mean anywhere from days to weeks to months and possibly even a year or longer. As long as the Lucky Stash Slots do eventually return to Mafia Wars then Zynga would have kept it’s word that it was temporarily shutdown.
The fact is that we likely won’t know for certain what will happen to the Jackpot unless there is a winner before we are locked out.
