Since Zynga announced a Survey To Vote For The Next City players have been axiously awaiting an announcement as to which destination will, in fact, be the next destination in Mafia Wars. Many have speculated and guessed and cast their votes.
Zynga heated things up on July 9th, 2013, when clues to the new destination began being posted. The first clue was accompanied with the following caption;
Was he at the wrong place at the wrong time? Or was it the right place?
On the Official Mafia Wars Blog the image when a cursor hovered of the image the words SouthAfricaSplash_Landing_BG1 were revealed. This caused some to speculate (or assume) that South Africa will be the next destination.
Then on July 10th, 2013, Zynga released a second clue that was accompanied with the following caption;
He found what he was looking for, only to lose it again. Life is worth more only in death when there's a fortune to inherit!
When a cursor hovered of the image the words MexicoSplash_Landing_BG1 was revealed.
This suggested that either South Africa is the next destination and Zynga was attempting to cover-up the error. Or, Zynga was attempting to play a game with the players to cause us to start guessing the destination and they were eliminating the destinations.
A third image was posted giving us another clue. It was accompanied with the following caption;
When you strike gold, do you stash it or cash it? What do you think he’s going to do next?
When a cursor hovered of the image the words PragueSplash_Landing_BG1 was revealed.
This only enhanced the speculations.
On July 22 Zynga released more information when they released the first Caption Contest. The Caption Contest asks players to submit suggestions of potential captions for the following image.

Now that we’ve explored the hints and clues we can lay to rest any further speculations. Allow Mafia Spirit to be the first to unofficially announce that South Africa WILL be the next destination in Mafia Wars.
We can now expect to say ‘Welcome To The Family South Africa’ very soon.
