The Iceboards have returned to Mafia Wars once again. This will be the 3rd EPIC FAIL for the Iceboards. There really IS NO inspiration for the vast majority of players to care about this USELESS feature. Zynga, please remove it from the game!!!!
It appears that the same players who topped the previous 2 Iceboard releases [1][2] will earn themselves a Handle With Care and a Vintage Horsepower.

To expand on the idea that the same players will receive the rewards AGAIN here is a screenshot from a previous Iceboard;
We have no personal issues with Morten and if he/she can get the loot rewards then more power to him/her. We do apologize to him/her for using them in our examples but you were the obvious choice for us to use. We are only attempting to show why this feature is a FAIL for the entire game and it is not our intent to single you out.
At around 5 am EST I took a screenshot of the Global Rankings and you may recognize some of the top 3 who are present on the leaderboard.

You may notice me in the middle of all those who had zero ices at that point in time. I was ranked 51344.
I proceeded to begin my icings for the event and took a second screenshot at around 6 am EST.

If you look at the differences in the number of ices during just a one hour run then you should see that Morten accrued the most ices within that hour. Morten managed to ice an astounding 1707 players.
Meanwhile, I did manage to climb the Rankings. I advanced upwards by 28658 places in the rankings to 22686. I did this by icing a mere 7 players within the same hour that Morten iced 1707. What a contrast between Morten and myself?
All I can say is WOW! This feature is supposed to accomplish what for Mafia Wars?
All this feature is succeeding at doing is making me question myself as to why I am playing this game at all?

This kind of feature would have been an OK, at best, idea if the game were new. These kinds of features do not really mean anymore than bragging rights and will get boring rather quickly. Especially when the same players are at the top each time it resets. You know, those players that topped the Death By Ice event. Other than those players, WHO CARES? This is just another feature for them.
For the rest of us, If rewards will be involved it may make this interesting for a minute. However, that would just lead to some players finding ways to cheat.
Ultimately this feature is just going to take up space on Zynga’s servers. Many players won’t care to even check on it unless they need to collect something.
Zynga, you really do need to make new districts (MORE THAN 4 or 5!!!), make robbing mean something, make money mean something (especially since that’s what Mafia’s are about), and update features once you implement them (Trader Goh’s and the Fight Club for example). Make this game playable and enjoyable for everyone again and not just the fighters!

I’m sorry, but it is my belief that ZYNGA didn’t think this feature through completely. It is a feature that over-whelming favors about 1% of the player base (or 3,200 players, estimated). IT IS A DISGRACE TO THE GAME!!
This feature has already become a nuisance for many players. I REFUSE to remove some of my stronger friends just so I might get a reward for finishing first in the Mafia Rankings. There IS no reason for me to even consider making it onto the Global Rankings leaderboard! IT INSPIRES NOTHING!
