Bless the rains down in Africa.
The drums are echoing today and you better hurry ‘cause a New Location is waiting for you. Dust To Diamonds is a premarket release event for the upcoming destination – South Africa.
You might recognize the slain victim in the image above. We received our first glimpse of him on July 9th when Zynga released, on the
Mafia Wars Facebook Fanpage, the first of 3 clues announcing the upcoming destination.
The poor bloke must have got caught in the cross-fire of some poachers who were after some animal hide or ivory. Maybe he stumbled too close to the diamond mines. Either way, we don’t want to wind up like him.
To prevent this poor guys fate we must “Take the Savanna by storm. Collect Randitions and gather Head Hunters to win a special reward that will help you mine the depths of the new location.”
We can ‘Ask’ for 10 Randitions once every 8 hours.
By clicking on friends feeds we can collect 20 Randitions each day the event is active.
Normally one would want to avoid the Head Hunters. But, we can ‘Invite’ our friends to send us Head Hunters.
Once you invite your friends to send you a Head Hunter they need to click ‘Send and Thank’ from their Free Gifts Page.
I have not noticed any Head Hunters being added to my inventory when I accept these Head Hunter gifts. I assume that they do get added to your friends.
I am not certain if there is a limit on the Head Hunters that you can receive each day via this method. More details on this further down this post.
We do need to collect 500 Randitions to be rewarded 500 Rand. We also need to collect 500 Head Hunters to be rewarded the Ruby Wild Beast.
The rules state that we can receive 80 Randitions and 80 Head Hunters per day.
The numbers shown collected are confusing. On the left of the image shown above It says 79 have been collected. But, if you add the ones collected from the 3 categories, where they are acquired, only 70 appear to have been collected. On the right of the image it says 283 Head Hunters have been collected and the totals of the 3 categories indicate 272 Head Hunters have been collected.
The differences of the numbers of Head Hunters collected could be due to the number collected from your friends sending them from the Free Gifts requests when you invited them.
The Randitions and Head Hunters can be acquired from fighting
And Jobs
The Lockpick Double Loot Bonus does appear to work, but is not necessary because these loots drop often.
At this time we aren’t certain if South Africa will unlock when you acquire 500 of each the Randitions and Head Hunters or if the new district will unlock at a later time.
