SimCity Social – If Only There Were More City And Less Loading Issues

The 80% freeze on loading still remains with the new game. Remember that it is only the open beta version. But, How can you compete with ALL the Villes when there IS NO CITY?

Here are some quick and easy directions to prevent an email from Zynga Customer Support from ending up in your spam/junk folder instead of your inbox.
** Although all email applications are slightly different, most of them have similar procedures to let you prevent an email from going into the spam/junk folder.
Yahoo.com

1. Log in to your Yahoo account.
2. Click Contacts, at the top of the page.
3. Click Add Contact.
4. Enter the following in the Email Address field: support@zynga.com.
5. Enter a Nickname to use as a shortcut in addressing emails, i.e., Zynga Support.
6. Click Save.

 

Hotmail.com

1. Log in to your Hotmail account.
2. Click People, at the top of the page.
3. Click New.
4. Enter the following in the Email Address field: support@zynga.com.
5. Enter a Nickname to use as a shortcut in addressing emails, i.e., Zynga Support.
6. Click Save.

 

How to un-spam an email that is already in your Spam or Junk folder:

1. Check your Spam folder for an email from Zynga Customer Support.
2. Open the email.
3. Click the Not Spam button at the top of the message. This will move the email to your inbox.
4. Return to your inbox and open the email again.
5. Click the Add to Contacts button (usually a "+" icon) which is located next to theFrom: (Sender's ID).
6. Enter a Nickname to use as a shortcut in addressing emails, i.e., Zynga Support
7. Click Add to Address Book.

**(The button may be named "Not Junk", depending on your email application.)

Zynga made an update about the use of bots yesterday. Here is what they are saying about the use of bots;

Because we want to keep our games fair and our players safe, we want you to be aware of the following:
The use of "Bot" programs or 3rd-party scripts that automatically perform actions on your computer, whether in a game or on a website, is strictly prohibited. Please read Zynga's Terms of Service.
In addition to the possibility of having your account suspended, some Bot programs or scripts that you get from someone else can contain Trojans or Viruses. If you use or have used a Bot program in the past, you could find your password, User ID and other private information have been stolen.
So play fair and keep safe. Do not download or use Bots!

The use of bots is prohibited unless you play Mafia Wars and/or spend money and/or a PAC2 member and yadda yadda yadda. How many times do we have to continue seeing these messages and Zynga does nothing about enforcing their own rules?

The fact is thanks to the bot/script users and money spenders this game (Mafia Wars) has become virtually impossible to play without some kind of third party help. Too many players would quit playing if Zynga ever did go after the abusers. Zynga would lose revenue if they went after the bot/script users in Mafia Wars. Therefore, I don’t see anything coming of this for Mafia Wars players.

Mafia Poker 6 – After 1000 Cards

If you have been collecting nothing but the Poker Cards from your ZMC then you should have about 100 Mafia Poker hand wins. That would equate to a 50% win ratio. As you can see in the above banner I have won about 55% of the hands I have played. Of course this will vary from player to player.

You should at least have received your Ruby Level Bohemian. This means that many players will receive their Emerald Level Bohemian tomorrow.

Zynga’s 100 Updates A Day

I know this is way late but due to other REAL LIFE things I barely touched Mafia Wars today. I got today’s first ice at 11:30 PM EST.

Before you ask, yes I did catch 17 fish today and my wife caught 6. They were mostly Blue Gills and Sun Fish. One Largemouth Bass and one Smallmouth Bass were nice catches although neither were record size. The fish story would be my wife falling into the lake. That was funny as hell.

Now back to Mafia Wars where we spend most of our time because it IS our job. Or Zynga, at least, makes it feel that way.

The company can release updates to any of its games quicker than any other gaming company in the world. In fact, Zynga updates its games 100 times a day and releases 1000 features per week.

We most certainly see our share of updates and features being released in Mafia Wars. Just today Zynga gave a free Knuckle-Chuckle to all players who played Mafia Wars today.  

That’s in addition to the 43 other loots that were added to the inventory today that are for upcoming events/features and sales. The complete list can be found on our post titled Lucky Stash And Inventory Loot Updated.

We already are trying to deal with completing this list of features; Derby Crates (Now Available), New Fight Loot, Midsummer Manic 7 Day Sale, Hellish Hydraulics - Crafters Choice Event, The Few And Proud Sales Event, Lighthouse Lobbying Secret District, Mafia Poker, The DIY Weapons Lab, Family Progression, Family Properties, Extreme Missions, London Mission, And Collectible Stat Cards. And, Zynga, I ask how we’re ‘SUPPOSED’ to get ALL these tasks completed within how much time a day?

I think I have just enough time in a 24 hour day to go do a number 1 (10-100) and a number 2 (10-200) once each so there is a little time left for Zynga to throw in about 10 more features.

Oh, I get it now. When Zynga says that they want people to play every day and consider it "the best 50 minutes of their day" they ARE saying that the other 23 hours and 10 minutes of playing Mafia Wars are the worst hours of the players day. It makes sense now.

This IS all why I am beginning to walk away from this (And ALL) Zynga’s games! IT SIMPLY IS TOO MUCH!!
