Question And Answer Session With The Mafia Wars Developers

I’m sure that many of you may already know about the Q & A session that is scheduled for Friday with the Mafia Wars Developers. But for those of you who don’t know here is what is going on. The Q & A session was announced yesterday on the Mafia Wars Forums. The following is what exactly had been announced;

We will provide you with the topics for discussion and our developers will make sure they answer as many questions as possible. Please be informed that not all questions asked on this thread will be answered as we would have limited bandwidth to answer your questions.

I already have a list of questions that I’d like answered and if I can make it to the Q &A you will get to see my questions. Hopefully there will be a lot of participation in the Q & A from many of the non-regular forum users, the free players, and the casual players because we truly do need to know what the entire player base wants answered and not just the bloggers, daily players, and the money spenders. So I am asking for All of you to participate because this is the game that you enjoy too and you should voice your questions also. I know I want to hear your questions.

DIY Weapons Lab Preview

 

Likely to be released this week is the next limited time property that will be called the DIY Weapons Lab. The Loots have already been added to the invevtory and include the following;

Level

The items that we will need to collect to upgrade our properties should include Hydraulic Materials, Treated Lumber and Plaster.

 

 

 

Now, I have to take issue with one of the items that is supposed to be in the DIY Weapons Lab. That item is the Crucifixed. How can Zynga remove the Jesus Christ Crate suggestion (read more about it here) from their Crate Contest (go Here to vote) then have an upside-down cross that is buildable in this property? The Jesus Christ Crate was removed for the ‘obvious’ reason of being offensive to some people. Not that I am a religious fanatic, but I find the upside-down cross to be more offensive!

Whether you are offended by religious symbolism or ant-religious symbolism this item can offend many groups. Especially the group that was offended by the Jesus Christ Crate.

Personally, I don’t care either way about the Crucifixed loot item other than to say if you are going to not do the one for its offensive nature then you should NOT do the other! It’s a contradiction in terms!
