A Few Suggestions For Mafia Wars

What Can Be Done To Bring Excitement And Players Back Into The Game Mafia Wars? That Is A Tough Question To Answer. It Is A Question That Zynga Fails To Answer Daily.

You Would Think That With The ‘New’ Mafia Wars Team That There Would Be ‘New’ Ideas And Solutions. So Far There Is Not A Single Idea Nor Solution That Has Been Made Nor Implemented That Would Satisfy The Dwindling Player Base.

Most Of The Things That Have Been Released Into Mafia Wars Recently Have Been Either Copy/Paste Of Old Ideas With New Graphics Or They Have Been All About Ways To Make Zynga Money. That Is All The Stupid Sales Gimmicks.

And Lets Not Forget About The Ridiculously High Requirements To Complete Things Like Family Progression, Family Properties, And The Limited Time Properties.

To Answer Some Of This Dilemma I, And A Few Friends, Have Come Up With Some Ideas That We Would Like To See In The Game Mafia Wars.

Since We All Fear That The Newer Mafia Wars Cities Will Soon Become Overwhelmingly Boring And Will All Be Designed In The Brazilian Destination Format We Would Like To See Something Different.

If You Consider That We Also Have The Family Modules That Require Players To Do Jobs, Get Ices, Build From Properties, And Collect Gifts For Families To Advance Through Family Progressions There Is Something Lacking In The Game As It Is Currently Played. There Should Be Something In The Game To Inspire Players To Participate In All Areas Of The Family Progressions.

What We Are Suggesting Is A New City, If You Will, That We Will Call The ‘Neighborhood’. Like All Cities The ‘Neighborhood’ Will Have Jobs For Players To Do. The Difference Between The ‘Neighborhood’ And All Other Destinations Should Be That Your Entire Family Would Have To Contribute To Each Of The Jobs.

Their Should Be 8 Jobs. Two Jobs For Each Of The Family Progression Requirements. That Is, Two Jobs That Require Energy To Complete. Two Jobs That Require Ices (Or Better Yet; Stamina Used Either By Fighting Or Robbing And Boss Fights). Two Jobs That Require The Building Of New York Properties (Including The Limited Time Properties). And The Sending And Collecting Of Gifts From The ZMC. All The Things We need To Be Doing For The Family Progressions.

If The Requirements To Complete Each Job Are Set To Reasonably Be Accomplished By The Family (As A Whole Based On Family Size And Or Based On The Average Energy And Stamina Of A Family) Within 1-2 Months (And Not Years).

For Example; Lets Say A Family Has 100 Members And They Have 4000 Stamina On Average Among Their Family Members. Lets Assume (For Arguments Sake) The Average Player Levels Up 5 Times A Day. Each Player Would (On Average) Need To Spend 20,000 Stamina A Day (That’s 2 Million Stamina A Day For This Example). To Allow This Family To Accomplish This Job Within Approximately 30 Days The Job Should Cost 60 Million Used In Stamina. This Will Inspire More Players To Collect Their Progression Bonus’s And It May Also Encourage The Purchase Of Energy/Stamina Refills. Energy Jobs Should be Calculated Similarly.

An Example For Gifting Jobs Is Easy. We Can Accept 250 Gifts A Day. Simply Multiply That By The Number Of Players Within A Family And Then By 30. A Family Of 100 Would, Therefore, Need To Accept 750,000 Gifts To Complete This Job.

A Job Based On Property Builds Is Just A Simple To Calculate. We Can Build 5 Properties In New York Each Day. That Means For A Family Of 100 There Should Be 500 Items Built Each Day For A Total Of 15,000 Items Built 30 Days. If Players Choose To Use RP To Speed The Build Clocks Then Those Items Should Be Counted Toward The Job As Well.

In Addition, If Each Job Gave Each Player In The Family A Personal Reward For Contributing At Least .01% Toward The Completion Of Each Job. The Rewards Should Be A Loot Item With Stats Similar To The 205 Stats Of The Loot Items That Are Impossible To Acquire In The Boss Fights Or Each Player Is Rewarded With 100 Skill Points To Distribute As They Choose Or Possibly 100 Reward Points.

If Implemented Into The Game This Might Inspire More Daily Play From All Players And Possibly Attract Players Back Into The Game. Zynga Might Also Benefit From Purchases By Players To Speed Through The Jobs. Everyone Should/Could Be Happy With Such A Feature. And We Could Truly Be Saying;

Issue:Some Players reported that the Collect' button disappears even for the family battles the user has participated.

Family battle ices and attacks on safe house are not changing the family score
Issue:Some Players reported that Family battle ices and attacks on safe house are not changing the family score or leader board ice count.

Players do not receive family battle loot

Help counter fails to reset after 24 hours for the user in "Declare War"
Issue:Some players reported that if the user has helped 5 times in "War" on a particular day and after 24 Hours the user tries to help in war, it is observed that user is not eligible for the helper reward and the user can still help his friend with the particular "Declared War", but will not receive a helper reward again for the mentioned time.

"DoEndGame" for expired war not being computed.
Issue:Some players reported that if they have an expired war and then they declare war from the buttons on the fight page, or the buttons on the profile page, it wouldn't compute the "DoEndGame" for their expired war.

Metal Mafia Tip – How To Beat Jairo Moreiro Metal Mafia Boss

Many Players Stay On Either Bronze Or Silver Level Of The Secret Districts Until They Have Collected Enough Of The 3 loot Items To Be Awarded The 3 Sets Of Skill Points. Others Will Stay On The Bronze Or Silver Levels To Farm The 3 Loot Items If Those Items Help In Their Mafia Attack/Defense Strength. Metal Mafia Collected Skills

As You Can See In The Picture Above This Player Has A Choice Of Farming For More Loot Or Moving Onto The Gold Level Of Metal Mafia. With Just Under Ten Days Left There Is Plenty Of Time To Farm For More Of The Fire Extinguishers, Heavy Metals, And Pyro Torch’s. It Would Be Highly Recommended To Collect About 500 Or More Of The Guitar Strings, If Possible, While You Take Several Days To Farm For The Loot. Here’s Why;

Vla Unvoided Zheng WenZhong Posted An Image On The Mafia Spirit Facebook Fanpage Where He Shows Us That It Will Take 141 Guitar Strings To Beat Jairo Moreira.

Tip For Beating Jairo MoreiraTip For Beating Jairo Moreira Using Guitar Strings We Can Assume That You Will Need Double The 141, Or More, Guitar Strings To Beat Jairo Moreira On The Ruby Level Since Jairo’s Health Will Be At Least Double As To What It Was On The Gold Level. And You’ll Still Need A Few Guitar Strings For 2 Of The Jobs.

You Can Now Use Some Strategy While Playing In The Metal Mafia Secret District And You Do Not Unnecessarily Need To Speed Through Metal Mafia.

We want to make the game more enjoyable for you and what better way to do this than including the features/changes that you want? We are inviting you to send us your suggestion/ feedback on what you would like to see in the game in future.
Please don't hesitate to mention anything that you think will enhance your game play.


For e.g., it could even be a minor change like repositioning of a button in the game that could improve your gaming experience.


Feature example: XYZ could be more enjoyable if ABC were implemented/improvised.


While doing this, please don't forget to substantiate it with a brief explanations, justification, screenshots, etc. that’ll help the Mafia Team take decisions better.

Many Players Have Already Made Their Suggestions. Some I Agree With And Some I Don’t.

Here Are Some That I Agree With;

1. Include robbing in the stamina section of Family Progression so that it adds towards it. A lot of players rob more then they fight. Suggested By markall42

2. Remove features that are of no use to the players: Operations, Gold Treasure Chests, Pawn Shop and Fight Club if these aren't going to be updated again. Suggested By markall42

3. I would like for you to bring back all cities and get rid of the Neo-Imporium. Suggested By Eric1031

4. Stop the time limit to upgrade new properties ... that is just a obvious cash grab. Suggested By Lori Faber-Smith

Some Of The Suggestions That I Believe Definitely SHOULD NOT Be Implemented Into The Game Are;

1. if you double up on a collectible set, you should get something, maybe not something huge, but something. Suggested By xphilosopherking

2. re-allocation to be PERMANENTLY. Suggested By konstantin aek 

ABSOLUTELY NO!! THE REALLOCATION OF SKILL POINTS SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN IN THE GAME TO BEGIN WITH! IT WAS A MAJOR REASON MANY HAVE QUIT! IT IS A PRIME REASON I AM CONTEMPLATING QUITTING FOR (THAT AND THE ABSURD AMOUNTS OF HEALTH OF MANY PLAYERS)! IT HAS CREATED SUPER STRONG PLAYERS AND HAS SEPERATED PAYING PLAYERS FROM FREE PLAYERS.

The Game Is Just A Short Line Of Code Or Two From Becoming A ‘Pay-To-Play’ Game. This Could Kill The Game If Fully Implemented. Those Who Pay For Things In The Game Need The Free Players As Much As The Free Players Need Those Who Pay.

The Best Solution To Attract Players Back Into The Game Is For Zynga To Add More Destinations. Give Players A Reason To Play The Game.

And Zynga, Let The Advantages Be, Just That, Advantages. If Players Get Dominated In The Game They Quit. Also, If Players Can Not Get Things Accomplished In The Game They Give Up.

One More Thing That Needs Looked Into Is The Timing Of Release Of Events And Features. Always Releasing These Things After Midnight, Eastern Standard Time (USA), You Are Causing Many Players Who Live In The Eastern USA To Lose Hours On Many Of These Events And Features. Try Mixing Up The Release Times To Accommodate ALL Your Users And Not Just Those Who Live In The Pacific Time Zone. Or At The Very Least Let The Clock Start For Limited Time Missions, etc, At A Certain Time Specific To Each Players Time Zone. Example, Event A Starts At 9 PM PST Should Start At 9 PM For EVERY Time Zone.

The Piñata Is About To Be Broken Open. Zynga Has Added A Hoard Of Loot Items To The Game Today. We Gave You A Preview Of Some Of The Items On The Mafia Spirit Facebook Fan Page. The Names And Stats For These Items, And More, Are Now Known. We Only Have Clues As To What Events These Items Will Be For.

A Couple Of Things That I Have Noticed About This Group Of Items Is, For One, Their Stats Fall In-Line (Slightly Higher) Than The Weekly VIP Loot Items Stats. Zynga Has Changed Loot Locations Before. And All That Would Need To Be Done Is For Zynga To Ad The VIP Badge To Each Item.

Second, It Would Be A Big Jump In Stats If These Loot Items Are For The Lucky Stash Or Warlord. In Addition, Their Are 11 Of These Loot Items And Not The ‘Normal’ 10 That Usually Are Associated With The Lucky Stash And War Loots.
