A Few Suggestions For Mafia Wars

What Can Be Done To Bring Excitement And Players Back Into The Game Mafia Wars? That Is A Tough Question To Answer. It Is A Question That Zynga Fails To Answer Daily.

You Would Think That With The ‘New’ Mafia Wars Team That There Would Be ‘New’ Ideas And Solutions. So Far There Is Not A Single Idea Nor Solution That Has Been Made Nor Implemented That Would Satisfy The Dwindling Player Base.

Most Of The Things That Have Been Released Into Mafia Wars Recently Have Been Either Copy/Paste Of Old Ideas With New Graphics Or They Have Been All About Ways To Make Zynga Money. That Is All The Stupid Sales Gimmicks.

And Lets Not Forget About The Ridiculously High Requirements To Complete Things Like Family Progression, Family Properties, And The Limited Time Properties.

To Answer Some Of This Dilemma I, And A Few Friends, Have Come Up With Some Ideas That We Would Like To See In The Game Mafia Wars.

Since We All Fear That The Newer Mafia Wars Cities Will Soon Become Overwhelmingly Boring And Will All Be Designed In The Brazilian Destination Format We Would Like To See Something Different.

If You Consider That We Also Have The Family Modules That Require Players To Do Jobs, Get Ices, Build From Properties, And Collect Gifts For Families To Advance Through Family Progressions There Is Something Lacking In The Game As It Is Currently Played. There Should Be Something In The Game To Inspire Players To Participate In All Areas Of The Family Progressions.

What We Are Suggesting Is A New City, If You Will, That We Will Call The ‘Neighborhood’. Like All Cities The ‘Neighborhood’ Will Have Jobs For Players To Do. The Difference Between The ‘Neighborhood’ And All Other Destinations Should Be That Your Entire Family Would Have To Contribute To Each Of The Jobs.

Their Should Be 8 Jobs. Two Jobs For Each Of The Family Progression Requirements. That Is, Two Jobs That Require Energy To Complete. Two Jobs That Require Ices (Or Better Yet; Stamina Used Either By Fighting Or Robbing And Boss Fights). Two Jobs That Require The Building Of New York Properties (Including The Limited Time Properties). And The Sending And Collecting Of Gifts From The ZMC. All The Things We need To Be Doing For The Family Progressions.

If The Requirements To Complete Each Job Are Set To Reasonably Be Accomplished By The Family (As A Whole Based On Family Size And Or Based On The Average Energy And Stamina Of A Family) Within 1-2 Months (And Not Years).

For Example; Lets Say A Family Has 100 Members And They Have 4000 Stamina On Average Among Their Family Members. Lets Assume (For Arguments Sake) The Average Player Levels Up 5 Times A Day. Each Player Would (On Average) Need To Spend 20,000 Stamina A Day (That’s 2 Million Stamina A Day For This Example). To Allow This Family To Accomplish This Job Within Approximately 30 Days The Job Should Cost 60 Million Used In Stamina. This Will Inspire More Players To Collect Their Progression Bonus’s And It May Also Encourage The Purchase Of Energy/Stamina Refills. Energy Jobs Should be Calculated Similarly.

An Example For Gifting Jobs Is Easy. We Can Accept 250 Gifts A Day. Simply Multiply That By The Number Of Players Within A Family And Then By 30. A Family Of 100 Would, Therefore, Need To Accept 750,000 Gifts To Complete This Job.

A Job Based On Property Builds Is Just A Simple To Calculate. We Can Build 5 Properties In New York Each Day. That Means For A Family Of 100 There Should Be 500 Items Built Each Day For A Total Of 15,000 Items Built 30 Days. If Players Choose To Use RP To Speed The Build Clocks Then Those Items Should Be Counted Toward The Job As Well.

In Addition, If Each Job Gave Each Player In The Family A Personal Reward For Contributing At Least .01% Toward The Completion Of Each Job. The Rewards Should Be A Loot Item With Stats Similar To The 205 Stats Of The Loot Items That Are Impossible To Acquire In The Boss Fights Or Each Player Is Rewarded With 100 Skill Points To Distribute As They Choose Or Possibly 100 Reward Points.

If Implemented Into The Game This Might Inspire More Daily Play From All Players And Possibly Attract Players Back Into The Game. Zynga Might Also Benefit From Purchases By Players To Speed Through The Jobs. Everyone Should/Could Be Happy With Such A Feature. And We Could Truly Be Saying;
